Myrrh has been well-known since biblical times, and it was one of the gifts given to the baby Jesus by the three wise men. These days, therapeutic-grade essential oil of myrrh is used for its tonic, astringent, stretch marks, a powerful antioxidant, anti - tumoral, anti inflammatory, antiviral, and anti - parasitic properties, as well as to enhance spiritual awareness.

Therapeutic-grade essential myrrh oil has some of the highest concentrations of sesquiterpenes found in any oil. These compounds directly affect the hypothalamus, pituitary gland and the amygdald, which is thought to be the seat of our emotions.

· It is also thought to be an antiseptic and has also been used to help heal wounds.

· People used it as a treatment for athlete's foot, acne, broken skin and many other skin ailments.

· Myrrh has also been used through history to treat muscle pain and rheumatism as well as to stimulate the blood, and therapeutic-grade myrrh essential oil can be used in the same way.

· Another popular use for myrrh oil is in oral hygiene, where it is used to treat pain and sores of the mouth and gums.

· It is also said to be good for the glandular system, helping to regulate the prostate and thyroid, as well as straightening out gynecological problems.

· Myrrh therapeutic grade essential oil has a very strong scent that is often described as balsamic. It is musky and smoky and smells a lot like the incense it is commonly used in.

· Myrrh is great for blending with other strong-scented oils like frankincense, clove and sandalwood.

· Myrrh oil can be used aromatically, topically and internally. it may cause skin sensitivity so it should be diluted in a quality vegetable carrier oil before being used on the skin.

· A drop should also be diluted in four ounces of soy, rice or almond milk before taking myrrh oil internally.

· Pregnant women should not use myrrh oil.

· Please Note: As with other therapeutic-grade essential oils, make sure you wash and rinse your hands thoroughly before and after working with myrrh oil and avoid getting it in your eyes. Keep all therapeutic-grade essential oils out of the reach of children
