Root Canal
I wanted to share this information with you because this past September one of the reasons, other than being exhausted from a too busy August, that I was unable to attend the Young Living '06 convention was because of a toothache I got 2 days before the event. I knew that others had used essential oils for toothache, so I went to my computer files and dug them up. This tooth that was hurting was a tooth I had a root canal in some 8+ years ago. I got out my bottle of Thieves and Helichrysum essential oils and would put a couple drops on a Q-Tip and rubbed all sides of the tooth, I layered the oils. I knew teeth have all these little tubes in which nutrients and so forth flowed through and that teeth are porous, I thought if I could work the essential oils into the tooth sides as much as possible that it would help the beneficial properties of the oils get "inside" the tooth. I did this several times a day.
I also rinsed my mouth with the Fresh Essence Thieves Mouthwash before applying the essential oils. Even though it still hurt and the side of my face was swollen due to the infected tooth I was able to sleep just fine. I couldn't really talk much or normal, or eat or chew, but I was able to get sleep. I also found that I had the best results when I applied the essential oils every 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours that it made a big difference and alleviated a good bit of the pain. I tried not to get too much oil down the inside of my mouth because I knew the skin there is quite delicate and because I'd be doing many applications a day I certainly didn't want to risk irritating the skin. I did rub the Q-Tip at the tooth &g um area thinking that it would help the oils to get down deeper as I knew the infection was also spreading into my jaw.
I also applied Helichrysum on my face focusing around the jaw and neck area. After using the mouthwash and essential oils about 4 days later I waslmost pain-free and able to chew soft foods slowly. By the 5th day, the pain was 100% gone, swelling gone, and I could chew anything Iwanted to eat. No trip to the dentist either!
What I just discovered today (below) at Dr. Mercola's website in this interview is the reason "why" I got the toothache in the first place -and - "why" the Thieves and Helichrysum worked. Be sure to read the interview clear to the end because I think there is a lot of information about oral care that we have never been fully aware of, I know I am walking away form all of this with a completely different take on the how's and why's. What I am going to be doing in the future as a preventative is this: at least once a week applying Thieves essential oil using a Q-Tip to that root canal tooth and neighboring teeth, and be certain to use the Fresh Essence Thieves Mouthwash at least twice a day. If I find the tooth is giving me health problems in the future I will have it taken out. Hope this experience of mine and this interview can help others. More Testimonials

My BEST Body Scrub Recipes. They all support the immune system and some body functions.
Ingredients: 1 Cup of Fine Sea Salt - 2-3 T Olive Oil (or any fine vegetable oil) - 1-3 drops of the therapeutic-grade essential oils of your choice. Make it to your own consistency.
Preparation: Mix all ingredients well in a glass or stainless steel bowl, mug or cup. (DO NOT USE PLASTIC or Foam cups or containers, the oils will ingest it).
Goal: To LOVE Oneself. You may need assistance with the back of your body. (Do the best you can for yourself.)
Please NOTE: Avoid your eyes and the oils will remove nail polish. You may need assistance.
1. Using small amounts of your body scrub in your hands, start scrubbing at your toes, push back your toenail cuticles, and scrub all the way up the body in a circular motion.
2. Shower, using a clean washcloth, (little or no soap) or take a plain water bath (little or no soap). Using a wash coth will remove all of the dead skin cells. Towel ,"Pat Your Self "dry and "Share The Aroma" where ever you may go.

I wasted no time at all; I had my wife rub my back with several drops of R.C. Blend (Ideal for bronchial conditions, flu, colds, pneumonia symptoms) and Eucalyptus Globulus.

A Great Testimonial

A Great Tuesday Testimonial.
In February this year I was introduced to YL oils. They have changed my life so much, and I don't think I will ever give them up. I'll do as much as I can to share them with everyone I know.
Here is one of my recent testimonies.
Gabrielle is my 22 year old granddaughter. She'd been having some seizures. She seems to think that when she was a teenager she might have had one or two (very, very slight) about 3 yrs ago she was in a car accident, and we wonder if it might have set her up for seizures later on down the line? but we didn't notice any right away. About a year ago she started having major seizures, and that was about the times when she went in for her medical training. When she started, they gave her a series of shots (mercury heavy metal??) and we think it is probably connected. About a month ago this week, she had a major seizure. It lasted several hours; we thought we were going to lose her. She was hospitalized and put on meds, but they weren't helping much at all. Afterwards, she lost the last two years of her memory. Her head was on her shoulder, her right arm trembled, and she drug her right leg somewhat. Somehow, her intellect at that time was like that of a six year old and her speech was slurred and broken. As soon as we were notified of this, my daughter (Gabrielle's mother) flew down to where Gabrielle was at the time. When she saw what was happening it absolutely devastated her, she had to walk away, she didn't think she was going to be able to hang on.

Within twenty four hours her head was off her shoulder, her arm had stopped trembling and she was walking straight. A Great Tuesday Testimonial.
In February this year I was introduced to YL oils. They have changed my life so much, and I don't think I will ever give them up. I'll do as much as I can to share them with everyone I know.
Here is one of my recent testimonies.
Gabrielle is my 22 year old granddaughter. She'd been having some seizures. She seems to think that when she was a teenager she might have had one or two (very, very slight) about 3 yrs ago she was in a car accident, and we wonder if it might have set her up for seizures later on down the line? but we didn't notice any right away. About a year ago she started having major seizures, and that was about the times when she went in for her medical training. When she started, they gave her a series of shots (mercury heavy metal??) and we think it is probably connected. About a month ago this week, she had a major seizure. It lasted several hours; we thought we were going to lose her. She was hospitalized and put on meds, but they weren't helping much at all. Afterwards, she lost the last two years of her memory. Her head was on her shoulder, her right arm trembled, and she drug her right leg somewhat. Somehow, her intellect at that time was like that of a six year old and her speech was slurred and broken. As soon as we were notified of this, my daughter (Gabrielle's mother) flew down to where Gabrielle was at the time. When she saw what was happening it absolutely devastated her, she had to walk away, she didn't think she was going to be able to hang on.
I immediately looked up the info. on this and sent some of the oils down to her, a few being: Lemon, Brainpower, Lavender, Frankincense, Chelex, and Juva-Cleanse. Within twenty four hours her head was off her shoulder, her arm had stopped trembling and she was walking straight. She had three more small seizures during the next week, which we were able to help control with the oils. She hasn't had a seizure for two and a half weeks. Did You Know That Lemon Therepeutic-Grade Essential Oil Has Many Traditional Uses?
Lemon has antiseptic-like properties and contains compounds that have been studied for their effects on immune function. According Jean Valnet, M.D., the vaporized essence of lemon can kill meningococcus bacteria in 15 minutes, typhoid bacilli in one hour, Staphylococcus aureus in two hours, and Pneumococcus bacteria within three hours. Even a 0.2% solution of lemon oil can kill diphtheria bacteria in 20 minutes and inactivate tuberculosis bacteria.
Lemon oil has been widely used in skin care to cleanse skin and reduce wrinkles.
It promotes clarity of thought and purpose, as well as health, healing, physical energy, and purification. Its fragrance is invigorating, enhancing, and warming.
Lemon has been shown to have antidepressant effects in research done by Komori, et al.,1995. It may also help brighten a pale, dull complexion by removing the dead skin cells.
It serves as an effective insect repellent and works well in removing gum, wood stain, oil, and grease spots.
More Traditional Lemon Oil Ideas For Your Wellness Plans.
Use 6 drops of Lemon oil and 6 drops of Purification oil in a squirt bottle mixed with distilled water to use in the bathroom as an air freshener.
Use 1-2 drops of Lemon oil to remove gum, oil, grease spots or crayon.
Use 1 drop of Lemon oil to add flavor to baked goods or beverages.
For homemade lemonade, in a blender mix 2 drops of Lemon oil, 2 tablespoons of honey and two cups of pure water. Adjust the amount of each ingredient to suit your own taste.
Rub a drop of Lemon oil on a corn, callous or bunion mornings and evenings.
To clean and increase the shelf life of fresh fruit, fill a bowl with cool water and 2-3 drops of Lemon oil.
Drop your cleaned fruit into the water and stir. Be sure all surfaces of the fruit contact the lemon water.
Add 2-3 drops of Lemon oil to water and spray counter tops to sterilize them.
Soak your dishcloth overnight in a bowl of water and a drop of Lemon oil to disinfect and kill germs.
Add a drop of Lemon oil to your dishwasher before the wash cycle.
Rub a drop of Lemon oil on your hands after using a public bathroom.
Use a paper towel soaked with several drops of Lemon oil to sanitize bathroom fixtures.
Place a drop of Lemon oil on cold sores, herpes or other mouth ulcers to lessen pain and aid in healing.
Put a drop of Lemon oil on bleeding gums caused by gingivitis or tooth extraction.
Put a drop of Lemon oil on oily skin or acne to balance sebaceous glands
(oil glands).
Rub several drops of Lemon oil on cellulite to improve circulation and help eliminate waste from the cells.
Rub two drops of Lemon oil topically to clear athlete's foot.

I started learning about Young Living therapeutic grade essential oils in 2002. The testimonies I read (via being on someone else's email list!) sounded too good to be true. They were from people I did not know and people who didn't know me... Well, finally in January, 2003 I decided that if even half of the testimonies were true, that this was something worth looking into. I placed my first order: an Essential 7 Kit, Lavender shampoo and conditioner, Thieves toothpaste, and Goldenrod oil.
