Why Do You Need To Know Chemistry When You Use Essential Oils?
You don't, actually.
But the more understanding you have of the properties of oils, (chemically, physically, and spiritually) the better you will be able to use them. You can use essential oils successfully without any scientific knowledge of how they work, but if you know some chemistry, your faith in the oils will increase and so will their effectiveness when you apply them. Knowing a little basic chemistry will also enable you to answer people with a technical or medical background as to the scientific basis for their healing power.
