Occasionally, larger stones can become trapped in a ureter, bladder,

There are four types of kidney stones:

Stones made from calcium (the most common type).
Stones made from magnesium and ammonia (a struvite stone).
Sones made from uric acid.
Stones made from cystine (the most rare).

Some of the symptoms of kidney stones include:

• Persistent, penetrating pain in side
• A burning sensation during urination
• Blood in the urine
• Bad-smelling or cloudy urine

It is important to drink plenty of water (at least 12 eight-ounce glasses daily)
